Abstract
In this paper has been analyzed changes in the educational structure of the population of Northeast Bosnia region in the period from 1961-2013. The sources of data were Censuses in the period 1961-2013, Statistical bulletins and data of the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the research is a comprehensive analysis of the educational structure of the population of Northeast Bosnia region and its comparison with the educational structure of other geographical mesoregions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the paper has been analyzed the data of the educational structure using Geographic Information System. The data werecartographically visualized, and thematic maps were made that provide a detailed insight into changes in the educational structure.
